About the Artist:
Oleta Tucker was born in Oklahoma and has resided in the North State for
the past 18 years. For 45 years, she has made use of her artistic
talents; creating art through photography, painting, graphite renderings,
needlepoint, embroidery, rug hooking, and even ostrich and emu eggs.
Oleta's dream was always to become an artist. She learned to draw very
early, making her own elaborate collection of paper dolls. She attended
college in Porterville, CA where she earned a degree as a Psychiatric
Technician. Oleta worked for 10 years in this field and then retired to
concentrate on her two passions: painting and reading. She has a deep
appreciation for the greatness of nature, which is apparent in every piece
she creates.
Currently, Oleta has focused her passion for painting and the arts on
creating beautiful scenes on ostrich and emu eggs, as well as canvas.
Her art gives us a unique look at nature; with its majesty, its beauty,
and its complexity. Oleta invites you to view her art; may it inspire
you to find the goodness and beauty that surrounds us all.
